Water

Globally improving health begins with access to clean and safe water. In developing countries, about 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions. Due to their developing immune systems during their early years of growth and development, children are mainly susceptible. Worldwide, 1 in every 5 deaths of children under five is due to water-related diseases. Every glass of dirty water is a potential killer. If a child is ill from waterborne disease, he or she can not attend school, and the chance of education is decreased making the escape from poverty more challenging. Therefore, clean water increases the potential of a child to stay healthy thereby remaining in school.

Dianne and Lillie Foundation will work with local and global communities to provide access to clean and safe water. We will donate water wells in villages to improve the livelihood of children. With less than $2 a day, you can be a part of the solution to preventable disease among the world’s most impoverished communities. $35 per person will allow Dianne and Lillie Foundation to provide access to clean and safe water as well as improve hygiene and sanitation. Every gift makes a significant impact.
